Who we are

Small Wonder Equine Services

Horses have always been a part of Brooke Baker’s life since before she was born. Her mother had always ridden horses when growing up and passed the equine gene to Brooke. Growing up Brooke rode all kinds of horses and ponies and in whatever discipline she could. At the age of 7, she became a member of the United States Pony Club and the organizations discipline of choice was Three Day Eventing. Brooke was an avid pony clubber throughout her teens and continued to be when she went away to high school at Oldfield’s School. An all girls boarding school nestled in the hills of Baltimore County, Maryland. While attending Oldfield’s, Brooke attained her C1, C2 and C3 Pony Club ratings. After graduating high school she attended Bethany College. A tiny private college located in the hills of West Virginia’s Northern Panhandle. While attending Bethany College she became a member of the Intercollegiate Dressage Team and the Intercollegiate Hunt Seat Team her freshman and sophomore year and completed her “B” Pony Club rating.

She left Bethany College the winter of her sophomore year and returned home to Delaware, where she attended Delaware Technical and Community College for three semesters and eventually continued on to the University of Delaware. She graduated in 2010 with a B.S in Agriculture and Natural Resources.

In February 2011, Brooke attended the American School of Equine Dentistry. The course was being offered near Ocala, Florida at that time by Dr. Raymond Hyde. After completing the course she began floating teeth as additional income, but still needed a full time job or something to add to the equine dentistry. In May 2015, Brooke went to a local equine competition where someone had a PEMF machine. She thought it was some voodoo at first, but was convinced to try it and loved it because IT WORKS! Being a lifetime equestrian Brooke has come to have a few aches and pains from being thrown to the solid ground or into obstacles.

Brooke had worked at a stormwater pond management company for four years and she left her full time position as Director of Operations to begin her own business venture as an Equine Dental Technician and Certified Magna Wave Practitioner in September of 2015.

See what people have to say about Magna Wave!

  • "This time last year at FL NBHA State was Whinny’s first Magna Wave session and the first time she had EVER ran in the 2D! Then she also won money in the 2D during the final round when Sara and Bling blew in with a record time. Coincidence? Whinny doesn’t think so, she LOVES Magna Wave!"

  • "Mac is a 20+yr show horse that recently went through a tornado in Blanchard, OK. He had 3 cracked ribs, severe bruising, and possible bone injuries in his hind quarter on the right side. The vet cleared him for treatment with the Magna Wave. He was still very sore on the right and wouldn’t allow you to touch him. When treatment was complete he would allow me to touch him on the hind quarter, he was walking without dragging his hind leg."

  • "I use Magna Wave on my older Amateur Owner jumper and find that it keeps him happy and very sound. I also had a horse that sliced the point of his hock open on a Monday before the horse show. I Magna Waved his hock everyday for 3 days, the wound dried up and healed nicely. He was able to compete in the 7/8 year old jumper classes that week. Had it not been for the Magna Wave I would have had to scratch him from the competition."

  • "3 months ago my Russian Trakhener came in from the paddock dragging his right hind leg. Diagnosed with a torn peroneus tertius, he could not flex his hock, which was hot and swollen. I was horrified and devastated, thinking for sure at 21 this was a career ending injury. Last week I decided to see how he felt at the trot, and I was amazed to find him completely sound. Magna Wave therapy helped him not only recover from the injury but maintain his overall fitness . He looks and feels as good as ever. Magna Wave helps work miracles!"

  • "This Kitten’s Joy foal is alive and well thanks to Magna Wave. She fractured her skull and was blind, deaf and her knee was filled up. T&T Equine treated her for a week and watched a miracle unfold. They visited her in the Fall and watched her running in the field. She is now a healthy yearling"
