Small Wonder Equine Services
Horses have always been a part of Brooke Baker’s life since before she was born. Her mother had always ridden horses when growing up and passed the equine gene to Brooke. Growing up Brooke rode all kinds of horses and ponies and in whatever discipline she could. At the age of 7, she became a member of the United States Pony Club and the organizations discipline of choice was Three Day Eventing. Brooke was an avid pony clubber throughout her teens and continued to be when she went away to high school at Oldfield’s School. An all girls boarding school nestled in the hills of Baltimore County, Maryland. While attending Oldfield’s, Brooke attained her C1, C2 and C3 Pony Club ratings. After graduating high school she attended Bethany College. A tiny private college located in the hills of West Virginia’s Northern Panhandle. While attending Bethany College she became a member of the Intercollegiate Dressage Team and the Intercollegiate Hunt Seat Team her freshman and sophomore year and completed her “B” Pony Club rating.
She left Bethany College the winter of her sophomore year and returned home to Delaware, where she attended Delaware Technical and Community College for three semesters and eventually continued on to the University of Delaware. She graduated in 2010 with a B.S in Agriculture and Natural Resources.
In February 2011, Brooke attended the American School of Equine Dentistry. The course was being offered near Ocala, Florida at that time by Dr. Raymond Hyde. After completing the course she began floating teeth as additional income, but still needed a full time job or something to add to the equine dentistry. In May 2015, Brooke went to a local equine competition where someone had a PEMF machine. She thought it was some voodoo at first, but was convinced to try it and loved it because IT WORKS! Being a lifetime equestrian Brooke has come to have a few aches and pains from being thrown to the solid ground or into obstacles.
Brooke had worked at a stormwater pond management company for four years and she left her full time position as Director of Operations to begin her own business venture as an Equine Dental Technician and Certified Magna Wave Practitioner in September of 2015.
